Kid Chef Homework

Chef Homework, yes Homework  :One night during the week, we request that your child to prepare a meal or dish for you, preferably from the recipes we are learning in camp – we like to call this Chef Work (kind of like homework but far more delicious for the parents)   Please set aside time to shop with them and watch them cook, then write (Email to abbie@cestsibon.net) a review on their dish and send it in with them so we can talk about it on Thursday morning. This exercise will encourage your child to build confidence in the kitchen. We will collect the reviews and put them in our all star chef book each year for the kids to look through so if you want to include a picture of your kid chef preparing we would love it.

Camp Essentials & Required Materials: Closed-toed sturdy shoes are required. NO sandals, crocs, keens, espadrilles, or soft shoes. They are welcome to, they will need to provide their own mask.    Hair: If your child has hair longer than chin length, please make sure it is pulled back or secured up in a hat prior to arriving at camp each day and will remain secured for the duration of camp each day.   Water Bottles are required: Please bring a water bottle for your kid-chef. Lunch Time

Each day we will be preparing a 4-5 course lunch so please do not send lunch or any snacks with them. Unless your child has an allergy we do encourage them to try EVERYTHING with no preconceived notions as to not liking one thing or another! This part of their culinary education is as important as the cooking (and cleaning!) We do ask that you make sure that your child has had a good breakfast each morning before arriving at camp since our lunch time is 1 pm each day mimicking the French Lunch that consists of 4 courses.
