WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
This adventure is perfect for a teen traveler who is independent, willing to engage in community, and recognizes the thrill of traveling to new places. This trip is about grabbing hold of the experience and tasting all that the world has to offer in both culinary and cultural senses.
WHAT’S THE FOOD LIKE IN ....FRANCE? OR?
Wherever Taste the Adventure takes us, the food is everything you imagine, and even more delicious! Challenge your palette and go beyond your expectations of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And that’s just the beginning! Practice your skills and hone your senses picking out the freshest ingredients from local markets and dishes at casual restaurants. From savory to sweet we hope to turn the tables on your world. We are always mindful of our travelers’ allergy and diet restrictions, and discuss individualized needs before and throughout the trip.
HOW DO FLIGHTS WORK?
Flights arrangements should be scheduled for the session you are attending:
Families are responsible for booking their teen’s flights to and from the Taste the Adventure trip destination. If you prefer your teen to travel internationally with our team, we have an option to meet at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Raleigh, North Carolina on the first day of the trip and fly together. On the final day of the trip, you should plan to depart from our last day's location back to your preferred destination.
We will communicate with each participant parent/guardian well in advance to ensure they ae aware of travel arrangements and times.
WHAT ABOUT SAFETY?
We believe that safety rules are paramount and must be considered first. As a family-oriented staff, we recognize the importance of knowing the locations and activities of each traveler 24-hours a day. We utilize a buddy system to ensure travelers are both safe and engaged while on this journey. Staff reinforce all conduct and behavior expectations with teens at the start of the journey, stressing that our rules of conduct are not only required, but exceedingly beneficial to responsible traveling in unfamiliar environments. In the wise words of parents everywhere, freedom equals responsibility. Teen travelers share in the responsibility for their own well-being and the well-being of others on the program at all times. Taste the Adventure staff make ourselves continually available to discuss questions and concerns from both teens and families throughout the entire trip. Staff will be available by mobile phones throughout the course of the adventure.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATIONS?
Every participant will share a room, so each participant will have same-sex roommates for the duration of the program. All properties have a common area where everyone can gather together and hang out. Taste the Adventure program is often held in a beautiful, town in France. In past not far from a historic millhouse that was once a Michelin starred restaurant in Southwest France. In Paris, a gorgeous modern bed and breakfast in a lovely and traditional neighborhood.
